The intense heat experienced by Singaporeans over the past few weeks almost felt like it never existed at all as temperatures on Oct. 3, 2019 suddenly plunged to as low as 21.8°C some time after 1am.
The reading then hovered around 22°C.
All over the island, temperatures fell considerably, but the north of Singapore was particularly cooler due to higher wind speeds of up to 12.6km/h recorded in Ang Mo Kio.
Wind speeds in Khatib were at 10.7km/h, while in Admiralty it was 11.7km/h.
The warmest region, which is typically the windiest, is at East Coast Parkway, but still fell within the 25°C to 26°C range.
The last time it was this chilly was in January 2018.
The lowest temperature recorded in Singapore ever was 19.4°C on two days in January 1934.
Next 24-hour forecast
The 24-hour weather forecast for Oct. 3, by the Meteorological Service Singapore, will see an onset of thundery showers mainly over northern, eastern and western Singapore in the afternoon.
It can still be expected to be cool as temperatures will range between 24°C and 33°C.
However, the weather over the next two weeks of October will be erratic, to say the least.
It can get as hot as 35°C, but with intense thunderstorms thrown in.
To fully take advantage of the chill now, you can go overboard with some Snake Brand prickly heat shower gel in this cool weather.
