Hobbit resort in Thailand features adorable hobbit houses & landscape, costs S$51/night

Bangkok is a favoured getaway destination for Singaporeans.

But a bit further up north is the city of Nakhon Ratchasima, where travellers can find another version of the Hobbiton -- the land of the Hobbits, diminutive creatures created by J.R.R Tolkien.

The Hobbiton is a famous tourist spot in New Zealand where filming for Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit took place.

Also called the Baan Suan Noi Resort, it is one of the eight specialty resorts in the Sikhio district.

All rooms in the resort are are equipped with its own bathroom, TV, air-conditioning, and hot shower facilities.

Standard occupancy is two guests, but three of the rooms can accommodate up to six guests.

Prices start from ฿1,200 to ฿2,500 per night, which is S$51.47 and S$107.22 respectively.

Breakfast is included.
