So here's a quirky little story.

One man recently went on a trip to Malacca with a friend and took to Twitter to share the experience.

Apparently, he had asked his wife to book the hotel for him.

And the accommodation she settled on? A Hello Kitty-themed hotel room.

No wonder my wife was giggling when she asked me if we've reached the hotel. She actually booked a Hello Kitty room for us. The best part: I checked into the hotel with one other guy friend of mine.

I'm not afraid to sleep tonight because I have Hello Kitty everywhere.

The hotel is likely to be at Fantasy Hotel in Malacca, where there are themed hotel rooms such as Doraemon and the Avengers.

The husband, however, did appear to go on to have a great time anyway.

He subsequently shared some selfies of himself cuddling a huge Hello Kitty plushie:
