First launched in 2018, The Gym Pod is Singapore's first 24 hour automated container gym.

Repurposed from shipping containers, these container gyms come with glass windows, air-conditioning and modern gym equipment.

There are also shower facilities, public washrooms and F&B joints near these pods.

Tweet gains public interest

On July 10, 2019, Twitter maestro Xavier Lur (@xavierlur) tweeted four photographs of the container gym's interiors and exteriors.

Each pod costs upwards of S$7/session, which lasts for 30 minutes.

If you're not shy about working out with strangers, however, prices start as low as S$2.50 per pax.

How to book

If you're interested in checking these pods out, here's how the booking process works:

Customers first have to download The Gym Pod mobile app and sign up here:

They then have to select their pod, date and time of booking.

The Gym Pod prides itself on charging customers by the number of sessions they book their pods for, and customers can also secure their bookings up to 14 days in advance.

Locations

The Gym Pod has since expanded to four locations in Singapore – JTC LaunchPad @ Ayer RajahAlexandra TechnoparkInternational Business Park @ Jurong East, and Changi City Point.
