Same GrabHitch rider complains about another car too small, cramped & uncomfortable

Not sure if super picky or troll.

Poly Student, J.Soon, was on his way home when he decided to pick up his first GrabHitch passenger.

It didn't go well.

Not only did the rider cancel on him, Soon's car was ridiculed, and his driving skills called into question.

This incident prompted Soon to put the convo on Singapore GrabHitch Zone, a Facebook community for GrabHitch drivers.

Confirmation

It started off innocently enough, with a courtesy text to confirm the picking, and the number of passengers.

The turning point of the conversation however came quickly, when the rider found out that Soon was a student.

Which promptly saw a change in tone.

Despite the curtness, Soon took it in his stride, confirming the cancellation with the rider.

But the rider was far from done.

It turns out she was already having misgivings of the car being too cramped and small, but the revelation that the driver was a student pushed her over the top.

Once again, Soon implored the rider to cancel.

And the rider was happy to oblige, but not before clarifying her reasons for cancelling once again.

In case you can't read it, here's what it says.

"1 last thing before I cancel, if u hitch drivers want to hitch, pls make sure u all got a proper car that ppl feel safe n comfortable to ride on, not any simple budget cheap car bcoz not only ppl will look cheap travelling in such vehicles but also the comfort level. I hv talked to grab abs it n nth gets done.

I shall cancel nw since I gt another ride."

Familiar

Now, if you've been on Facebook these past few days, you might have picked up a sense of Déjà vu.

Here's why.

And here's a small sampling of that particular rider, we'll call her E, in that incident.

Note the similar complaints about size, and discomfort, and the overall spelling of the words.

Which kinda reads like our current GrabHitch rider.

Even the way they sign off is the same.

Here's E.

And here's our hitch rider.

So this is either:

1. A very consistent troll

2. Some weird viral marketing campaign we don't get.

3. Or some lady who is super picky, and who has recently found out what Hitch is.

When asked whether this could be related, or whether Soon had this to say.

He neither knew, nor cared.

Here's the entire convo

Shall end nw since got another article. Thanks.
