They came, they sang and they ate.

Pop rock superstars OneRepublic was the headline act for Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix on Friday and they did not disappoint their fans.

At the Padang Stage last night (Sep 15), OneRepublic treated the fifty thousand attendees at the show with four songs from their latest album, Oh My My.

Lead singer Ryan Tedder also paid Singapore a compliment.

"I keep looking over at your beautiful city. Look at this. It's like designed by somebody way, way, way smarter than me."

So what's their reward in preparation for a hard day's work last night?

Chan Hon Meng's Hong Kong-style soya sauce chicken noodle in Chinatown Food Complex, also famously known as the first Michelin-starred street food stall and the cheapest Michelin-starred dish in the world.

Chef Chan's chicken rice and noodle stall has been in business for the last 36 years, where prices start at S$2 a plate.

Apparently, Tedder wore the same shirt (Eee...) as the concert performance when he headed out to Chinatown to eat his "chicken rice".

His verdict?

In a Facebook post, Tedder said that "it was amazing"

Chan serves both the soya sauce chicken rice and noodle, so maybe Tedder can try the noodle the next time he's back in Singapore.

The noodle tastes even more amazing.
