Update: Singtel will waive data charges for its postpaid subscribers. More here.

After several hours of making its fibre broadband subscribers watch Netflix and surf Facebook on 4G, Singtel has given another update to them at 11:55am — its broadband Internet service continues to be down pretty much everywhere in Singapore on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016.

And they still have no idea what happened.

Also there are no apologies given yet.

Just some regrets and thanks for Singtel subscribers' patience.

Singtel fined before for outages

In May 2014, Singtel was fined S$6 million over a fire at its Bukit Panjang Internet exchange in Oct 2013.

According to the then-IDA, the 2013 disruption affected close to 270,000 subscribers, including banks, polyclinics and AXS payment machines.
