The demand for certain grocery items have risen exponentially since the outbreak of Covid-19.
Masks, hand sanitisers, and instant noodles have been snatched up at supermarkets and pharmacies islandwide, not to mention globally.
One other item though, which has been in hot demand for reasons unknown to the rest of the population, is toilet paper.
The scramble over the fluffy, butt-cleaning product has led to long queues, scraps, theft, and some ingenuity.
And Singapore isn't short of creative methods using the product to draw viewership and attention.
Free toilet paper
Singapore's famous DJ pair, The Muttons, recently posted on Instagram and Facebook to make a rather curious announcement.
The radio duo who host the show Muttons in the Morning on Class 95 FM, shared that they would be holding a "toilet paper blitz".
Since it was the "hottest commodity in the world right now", the DJs would be gifting callers with toilet paper.
Every caller to the show on Mar. 10, between 8am and 10am, would receive 20 rolls of Kleenex three-ply toilet paper.
It was not revealed how many packs of toilet paper The Muttons have in stock.

Not sure whether Kleenex needs to thank them for the publicity. Hmmmm.
