Park Jee Won is a South Korean single mother and former fitness instructor.

In 2014, she gave birth to a baby girl.

Soon after, she ended her marriage with her husband and decided to single-handedly raise her child.

Postpartum depression & weight gain

After giving birth, Park suffered from postpartum depression that led to some weight gain.

Unsupportive husband

To make matters worse, Park's husband was unsupportive of her and even began to dislike her as a result of her weight gain.

In a bid to regain her husband's affections, Park tried to lose the weight she had gained.

She reportedly gave up on rice, exercised and ate six small portions of light food every day.

Lost 40kg and asked for a divorce

After 10 months, she lost a whopping 40kg, bringing her total weight down to 46kg.

However, her husband remained equally critical as when she had gained the weight and even commented that looking at her gave him goosebumps.

Feeling disheartened, Park decided to divorce him and raise their daughter alone.

Since then, Park has started to share weight loss tips, recipes, and photos of herself and her daughter on social media.

She maintains that she has never undergone plastic surgery to achieve weight loss.
