Carouseller won't sell 2 Halloween Horror Nights tickets to willing buyer, conversation goes to hell

Selling two tickets, but can only buy one.

In this week's episode of Carouhell, both buyer and seller became frustrated at each other because they didn't know what the other was saying.

On purpose. Or unintentionally. Who knows?

While frequent users of the online marketplace would have many personal stories to share, this one is representative of just how bizarre Carousell has become.

Selling two tickets, but you can only buy one

Jesper Ong, a Carousell buyer, shared about his Carouhell experience on Facebook on Oct. 23, after having a rather long and confusing exchange with a seller on the online marketplace.

His conversation is marked blue, while the seller's is grey.

From the screen shots of the conversation, it was apparent that the seller had put up some USS Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) tickets for sale at S$50 each.

Ong was interested in purchasing the seller's last two tickets, but it appeared that there was a catch.

The seller stated that the sale was limited to one ticket per person.

Ong had a friend who also wanted to buy the ticket as well, so all's good, right?

This was where the conversation took a turn for the terrible.

The seller seemed to take offence when Ong explained that he had a friend interested in buying the second ticket:

"If you make me look stupid then I don't reply also."

The seller then suggested for Ong to put a S$10 deposit, and settle the transaction via a phone call.

The seller seemed to get angry after Ong explained again that his friend wanted to buy the other ticket.

The seller insisted that the S$50 rate was only for one person.

Or something along these lines, because it became difficult to interpret what was even happening.

The conversation spiralled out of control and the seller started lashing out at Ong, comparing his intelligence to that of primary school children and calling him a scammer.

The conversation then continued to go off the rails.

Seller has five-star rating on Carousell

One would imagine a terrible rating for the seller, but it is apparent there were other buyers who had pretty good experiences with them.

In fact, there were eight five-star reviews found on the seller's profile.

Maybe people just enjoy fighting on Carousell.
