There's a new trend going around Twitter where you text your number neighbour.
Basically it's the phone number adjacent to your own phone number. For example, if my number is 91234567, my neighbour would be 91234568.
Sounds simple enough.
Here are some tweets from overseas showing really sweet encounters with their phone neighbours.

Awww.
Some were quite rude, though.
But there were enough good ones to continue the trend.
So naturally, a lady from Singapore tried to join in on the fun.
Twitter user Camy decided to take the plunge and become a real good neighbour.
Here's her lovely opener.
Which didn't appear to have gotten through to her neighbour.
Slight resistance, but that's all right.
Camy kept her composure and reassured her neighbour that this was merely a friendly check-in.
Anddddd Police.
Here's her tweet.

In response to her experience, others expressed their reluctance to try it themselves.
Two possible outcomes after all.
