July 10 is the birthday of Malaysia's Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.
He is 94 years old.
And Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has sent him birthday greetings via Facebook.
Looking forward to meeting him on National Day
In his post, PM Lee said he was looking forward to welcoming Mahathir and his wife, Siti Hasmah, on National Day.
PM Lee previously extended the invitation to Mahathir and his wife at the 9th Leaders’ Retreat in April.
He had stated that he was looking forward to hosting Mahathir for the "important milestone celebration", given that August 9, 2019, will also be Singapore’s Bicentennial National Day Parade.
Post accompanied by photo of orchid-naming ceremony
The post was also accompanied by a photo of PM Lee and his wife, Ho Ching, meeting Mahathir and Siti in November 2018, when Singapore hosted the 33rd Asean Summit.
On that occasion, an orchid was named after Mahathir and his wife as "Dendrobium Mahathir Siti Hasmah".
The ceremony took place at the Istana.
