They were also left waiting for an appointment with a specialist.

A man has taken to Facebook to complain about the standard of care his mother allegedly received at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH).

Improperly treated by staff

The Facebook post was put up by a man named Cheong CT on June 22.

He provided three instances that his mother was improperly treated by TTSH staff.

Cheong alleged that he had been informed by a nurse that the wrong fluid was injected into his mother, resulting in her being dehydrated.

He added that in response, a doctor apologised to him.

He also said he waited for more than an hour for a specialist doctor to arrive.

Cheong further alleged that his mother had been injected up to five to six times by a nurse in a futile attempt to draw blood.

When his mother asked why this was the case, she was apparently told the nurse was inexperienced.

Hospital staff allegedly requested his initial post be removed

Cheong then put up a second Facebook post on June 23.

Here, Cheong alleged a fourth instance of improper treatment by TTSH staff, as well as a request by the staff to remove the initial Facebook post.

He explained that despite complaining and receiving an apology from staff, no action was taken to administer medication to a swelling.

Additionally, the request to remove the initial post was also apparently made by the staff towards his mother.

Mothership.sg has since reached out to TTSH for more information on the matter.
