Boy hit by car

On May 14, a harrowing video was uploaded to the Facebook page Roads.sg.

It showed a male student getting hit by a car while dashing across the road.

The video was filmed from the dashboard camera of a car that stopped just before the pedestrian crossing.

According to the post caption, the incident occurred along Lower Delta Road towards AYE, at 9am on May 14.

Video breakdown

At the start of the video, the car filming the scene can be seen slowing down to a halt just before the pedestrian crossing, as the student dashes across the road.

The student then collides with a car that is moving on the rightmost lane of the road.

The impact sends him airborne.

The student spins around in the air before hitting the ground.

Meanwhile, the car comes to a halt.

The student is seen getting up from the road.

Accident a painful lesson

Many commenters reacted to the video by wishing the boy well.

However, some also called it a painful lesson to learn about traffic safety.

One commenter thought that the video could also a serve a larger purpose in sending a message.
