A Singapore illustrator has created a pair of drawings showing the late Aloysius Pang and Jayley Woo happily married.

The two drawings were put up on Jan. 24 and 25, following news that the 28-year-old Pang had succumbed to injuries sustained during reservist training in New Zealand. on Jan. 23 -- an incident that has sent shock waves across Singapore.

Both illustrations are poignant, and created within a short span of a day or two, as they show the late Singapore actor wedding his girlfriend -- an event that will no longer come to pass.

Here are the two illustrations:

Can’t believe that he is about the same age with me and he has gone forever as a fallen soldier... It triggered me so much as every Singaporean son around us have to go through the cycle to defend the nation. And the loss of your loved one while serving the nation is truly devastating. May there’s no more wars in the world and we don’t have to suffer tragedies like this anymore 🙏 • Meanwhile, here’s my imagination for you @jiaqiwoo, where you’re in your fav blue and he’s in his fav black. May you stay strong still even though it’s not easy to grapple death in the face. I’m sure he is watching over you right now in the realms of paradise and forever he would be... 💙🖤 • #rememberingaloysiuspang #lovelycouples #jaysiusonthephonewithaloyley #fashionillustration #lovelife #yingfashioncanvas

Couple planned to get married

The backstory to these wedding scenes between the two local artistes is that both of them were romantically involved, but had to keep their relationship away from the public eye the past few years.

Aloysius had even talked about saving enough money and settling down with Jayley in a few years' time, before tragedy struck.

✨#yingfashioncanvas ✖️#RoyalWedding I’ve always found that home is simply a matter carrying it with you. • While Princess Diana won’t get to see both her daughters-in-law in reality, I’m thinking of visualising this scene as a touching tribute to the late mother of Prince William and Prince Harry 🙏💙💫 • #surrealart #princessdiana #katemiddleton #meghanmarkle #fashionillustration #lovelife #thecreativehive #and_draw_something #drawadot #yingfashioncanvas
