Bloggervist Han Hui Hui reveals she is pregnant

Contributing to Singapore's fertility rate.

Han Hui Hui, blogger-activist and former election candidate who received 2,629 votes in Radin Mas SMC in GE2015, has revealed she is pregnant.

With a child. Not just with dissent.

She made this revelation in a Facebook live video on Dec. 21.

But as with most of her speech that cannot seem to focus on one point, she spent the first part of her video discussing the differences between the healthcare systems of the UK and Singapore, and the assistance provided for new mothers in the UK.

Han, 26, is understood to be in the UK where she had her pregnancy scans.

Ultrasound scans

At about the 8-minute 25-second mark, she discussed her ultrasound scans and said:

"For me I didn't actually pay for it, because when they do the scan on me they were rushing in, and they were like 'Ok this baby is moving in the so-called perfect condition' and they could see everything very clearly..."

Han added that the ultrasound scan photo was so clear, the hospital asked if they could use it in their classes.

She agreed, and was given the photo free-of-charge.

On Dec. 20, Han posted a pic of herself holding an ultrasound photo, also on her Facebook page:

Han, who is in York, England, recently began posting on motherhood-related issues.

On Dec. 18, she uploaded a photo of a letter appearing to arrange a scan appointment with the Ante Natal Clinic at York Hospital.

And on Dec. 19, she announced that she will be holding a "baby first month gathering" next year on June 15, 2019.

In her posts and videos, Han makes the case that the British healthcare system takes good care of expectant mothers, and draws a negative comparison to Singapore's healthcare system.

In her Dec. 18 post, she said:

"Singapore has the world's lowest fertility rate because we have the world highest cost of living for five consecutive years.

Mainly because we have a government that doesn't spend a single cent from a cash flow perspective (as the inflows exceed the outflows annually) on our public housing, public healthcare and pension for retirement.

Is this how Singaporean pregnant mothers should be treated?"

Han previously wrote on her blog in March 2015 that she postponed her marriage and pregnancy in order to fight her legal battles.
