EkoCheras Mall is a new mall located in Kuala Lumpur.

Here it is.

Expectations vs. reality

According to their website, EkoCheras was supposed to be a "new iconic lifestyle mall in Chera".

Here is how dope the place was supposed to look:

People were understandably hyped about their soft launch.

But here's how it actually looked, according to Facebook user Kai Chuan, who went down to the mall.

The one glaring fault seemed to be the unfinished paint job all over the mall:

Other issues were apparent as well -- including unfinished construction work right outside the mall.

Missing urinals:

And modern art-style speed bumps:

Which made this last image rather unintentionally funny.

The photo album has since gathered more than 9,000 shares and 2,000 comments.

Soft launch

To EkoCheras' credit, they acknowledged the criticisms.

Unfortunately, they also took the term "soft launch" very seriously:

Thank you all for the constructive comments. Our mall is currently in soft launch and we are continuing our best efforts to improve for all our tenants and customers. We welcome and thank everyone for their sharing, comments and concerns so that we can be better for you.?

The post also included images that appeared to be filtered, perhaps to show that it wasn't so bad.

Which lead to this plea.

With someone offering an unfiltered view.

Oh no.

What was the last thing you used this place for? (Somebody said paktor, meet boys?) This is what you can do these days!

?
All the restaurants you ever wanted to try on a massive discount! Did somebody say 'Pince and Pints'?

?
Have a little money but can't help being kinda lazy? You can still invest using this.

This was not part of CIP.
