Done with your in-camp training reservist obligations? Need to clear out space for other more valuable things at home?

Great. Now you can dispose of your used Singapore Armed Forces uniforms and equipment at SAFRA Punggol.

The collection bin is located at the second floor car park, beside the single lift lobby.

The following questions and answers pertaining to the collection bin are from the Facebook post above:

Why a dedicated bin?

Proper retrieval, recycling and disposal of the old uniforms is to ensure that they are not misused or misappropriated.

You won’t want someone wearing a uniform with your name on it committing crimes. So, the best bet is to dispose of it properly.

Where else can used uniforms and equipment be disposed of?

Alternatively, used or old SAF uniforms can be disposed of at the SAF e-Marts around the island, and the Army Logistics Base at Old Choa Chu Kang Road.

Yes, all six SAFRA clubhouses will be having the used SAF uniforms collection bin.

Do you still need to keep your uniform and equipment if you are in the military reserve?

You need to check with your respective unit on the arrangements of the used SAF uniforms and issued equipment, if there will be a re-kit exercise or to retain the current SAF equipment that you already have.

Alternatively, you contact the NS e-service at [email protected].

Can the used uniforms and equipment be removed from the bin?

No, you can't as the bin is installed with a one-way, non-return valve.
