Lawa Bintang is a stall in Tampines selling fusion Nasi Lemak.
In an extravagant modernisation of the dish, they offer Nasi Lemak Lobster on the menu. It costs S$22.
How the lobster nasi lemak is served
The lobsters are brushed with garlic oil then coated with three different types of cheese and a variety of herbs before grilling.
The rest of the dish consists of coconut basmati rice, plus the usual components of fried egg, cucumber, sambal peanuts and ikan bilis, and more sambal.
Crayfish, salmon & duck
Other fusion versions of the dish include crayfish, salmon, prawns, squid, softshell crab, and even smoked duck, with a price range of S$7.50 to S$9.
If you prefer, traditional Nasi Lemak is also available.
