Calling social media users, please help locate this little girl in the following video who narrowly missed out on receiving a SEA Games mascot toy, despite making her way from the back of the spectator stand to the front:

The video is uploaded by Singaporean swimming sensation Amanda Lim on Aug. 28 at the 2017 SEA Games.

The little girl can be seen making her way down the stairs as the camera was trained on her. She can be seen egged on by another woman beside her to collect the mascot toy given away by the victorious Singaporean swimmer.

However, by the time the little girl reached the edge of the stand, another girl had claimed the mascot.

Perhaps having seen the footage of the little girl's unsuccessful attempt at receiving the mascot, Lim wrote to the masses for help:

To the small little girl in the stands cheering on the night of my 50m freestyle race, I am sorry I did not see you hurrying down all the way from the top of the stands after the victory ceremony. I waved to my family from the poolside to thank them for coming down to support me and to give them the games mascot. It must be all the elation I was feeling that somehow clouded me from seeing anyone else other than my family from the crowd.

.

Therefore, I'm calling on the power of social media to help me find this little girl, whom I so carelessly missed out so that I can send a games mascot to her as a gesture of appreciation and apology for not seeing her that night.

.

Please help to share this post and call on all your friends and family to help!! Send me a private message if you guys know who she is!

Amanda Lim's record-breaking record

The incident took place on Saturday, Aug. 26, following Lim's solid performance in the women's 50m freestyle at the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur.

Lim, 24, had once again fended off her teammate Quah Ting Wen to become Southeast Asia's fastest swimmer.

She broke her old SEA Games record of 25.59s, with a time of 25.41s. Quah was just 0.05s behind and took home silver.

This is the fifth Games in a row that Lim has broken her previous record -- making it her fifth consecutive 50m freestyle win at the SEA Games. The Singaporean has been swimming faster and faster.

Her first gold in this event was at the 2009 Games in Vientiane, Laos.

Quah, 25 still holds the national record of 25.27s, which she set this year at the Singapore National Age Group Swimming Championships.
