Singapore is proudly banging her chest as this year marks NS50 -- also known as 50 years of National Service.

The NS50 Recognition Promotions, to recognise the contributions of past and present NSmen from both the Singapore Armed Forces and the Home Team, started on June 30 and will end on Aug. 10.

As part of the slew of promotions, unique goods that commemorate the event are available, including a special G-Shock watch, known as G-Shock NS50.

And of course, the necessary stats for you to get acquainted with the model: The most important of which are 200-metre water resistance and backlight with afterglow.

While it sounds like a pretty solid black-ops base model, the NS50 version has straps with the NS50 logo on a full-on camo pattern.

However, reception for the limited edition NS model seems a little mixed.

If you're keen on purchasing it, the watch will be available on July 28, from 10am onwards at all G-Factory outlets, limited to one piece per person.
