Nice to see our trains getting into the celebratory mood.

In October last year, we had some gorgeous Deepavali-themed decorations that spruced up Little India MRT station on the Downtown Line and North East Line, as well as trains running through the North-East Line.

Now, in celebration of Hari Raya Puasa, the nice folks at the Land Transport Authority (LTA) have commissioned Hari Raya-themed trains along the North-South, East-West and North-East MRT lines.

These themed trains were launched on Thursday morning, June 22, by Minister for Communications and Information and Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Yaacob Ibrahim:

These come complete with ketupats and fairy lights motifs on the windows,  along with images of tasteful home decor and patterns which are seen throughout the carriage.

Planning to snap a few pictures of the decorated train? It'll depend on your luck — only two trains are decorated with the special holiday get-up.

They will run until Jul 19 — and of course, if you want pretty empty-train photos, off-peak hours should be your best bet.
