If you think Mediacorp dramas have been in the doldrums for the last 15 years, you should give shows like Dream Makers, 118 Series 1, and recently-concluded Mightiest Mother-in-Law a chance.

In Mightiest Mother-in-Law, Chen Liping plays the "mighty" mother-in-law who tries to reunite her daughter (Paige Chua) and son-in-law (Thomas Ong) after the couple is estranged due to a third-party (Chris Tong) and Chua's ill-treatment of her husband and in-laws.
