If you did not know, the National Day Rally (NDR) was streamed live on YouTube for Singaporeans who would rather watch it on their preferred devices. There was also a live chat available.
Of course, the live chat was used by the audience to discuss what Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was speaking about. More than that, the audience was also using the chat as a platform to talk about observations and other.... seemingly more important stuff.
Here's proof that Singaporeans can multitask pretty well:
1. When PM Lee used Uber as an example, people wished he was an ambassador for it.
2. A wild Amos Yee appeared, causing the audience to go into a frenzy.
3. Of course, the PM's choice of shirt was discussed.
He didn't wear a pink shirt, but at least there were pink buttons on his blue shirt.
4. Almost halfway through the speech, it felt like the PM was giving us an education.
5. Everyone expected PM Lee to speak about terrorism:
6. And provided some helpful suggestions as to how we can deal with ISIS.
7. Of course, it was no surprise that Pokemon Go came up.
When PM mentioned using SkillsFuture to stay relevant, the audience proposed innovative courses that can be offered. Sounds like they will be popular for sure.
8. Jokes aside, when PM Lee stumbled and gave us all a scare, there was a flurry of concern.
Let's hope they managed to digest what PM Lee addressed in his speech. If not, there's always our summary of the NDR that you can finish reading in 90 seconds.
