Golden Village (GV) is opening its latest multiplex at Bugis+ on Mar. 10, 2023.

It takes over Filmgarde at Level 5, which closed down in the first quarter of 2022.

The new outlet has a total of eight halls, featuring plush seats and state-of-the-art Barco cinema laser projection system, which GV says delivers "consistent, sharp image quality over time" and "better colour quality."

Single seating at Gold Class Express

For the first time, there will also be two Gold Class Express halls within one multiplex. Each hall is bigger as well, accommodating 40 seats, up from the 32 at GV Funan.

The seats here are leatherette electronic recliners, with a leg rest that can be adjusted to 90 degrees, and its own USB charging port.

You can order your food and drinks via the iGV mobile app to consume them during the movie.

There's the option of single seating too, for those who are watching solo.

Spanish and Mexican cuisine

The multiplex also houses Azul, a restaurant which offers Spanish and Mexican cuisine.

Its menu includes starters, mains, sides, desserts and drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

Prices range from S$17 - S$20 for mains, while cocktails are S$15 (S$10 during Happy Hour).

S$6 movie tickets

Now for the important part: promotions.

From Mar. 10 - 12 (Friday to Sunday), patrons who use DBS PayLah! for ticket purchases at GV Bugis+ will be entitled to S$9 movie tickets.

And from Mar. 13 - 16 (Monday to Thursday), tickets will go for even cheaper at S$6 for those who use the above-mentioned payment method.

A caveat: It's limited to 250 tickets a day, and you can purchase them through PayLah!, the iGV app, or the GV website.

Lastly, on Mar. 16, the first 200 patrons who walk in and buy a minimum of two movie tickets will receive a free goodie bag worth S$70.

The bag comes with movie premiums, including "Shazam!" ones, and "more" (a.k.a. unspecified items).
