Relatable. Somewhat.

When it comes to interviewing celebs, there are a number of things you might not know -- one of which is how strict some of their respective labels are about asking questions deemed to be sensitive.

Which is why it wasn’t unexpected when we were requested not to talk about Hong Kong socialite Abby Choi during a Zoom interview with Aaron Kwok for his new movie, “Cyber Heist”.

Previously, Kwok's wife, Moka Fang, had posted about being "heartbroken" over Choi's brutal murder on Weibo.

Fang and Choi were reported to be close friends.

During the course of the Zoom interview, we stuck to movie-related topics (more on that later), but were surprised to know that Kwok indirectly mentioned Choi's passing that very night at the movie's Hong Kong premiere.

"Shocking and sad"

According to HK01, he called the murder "shocking and sad". The singer-actor added that he "does not want to say too much" as he believes his wife needs space.

Fang later posted about attending the premiere, adding that she stopped their two children from attending as she was worried that they would react badly to a scene of Kwok getting hit by baddies.

Kwok on being a former tech idiot

But back to the Zoom interview.

During the session, Kwok spoke about how he once had no internet access, only to realise that it had been cut off because he forgot to pay his bills.

He quipped that he felt "uneasy" at the lack of connectivity, and promptly settled the payment.

This wasn't the only tech-related hiccup that he has been through, as he once enlisted the help of a friend to help him to organise his files as he was unsure of how to do so.

These days, however, with the existence of cloud storage systems (think Google Drive and the likes), Kwok is confident enough to handle it on his own.

Ironically enough, Kwok plays an IT whiz in "Cyber Heist" who has to shut down a rogue artificial intelligence (AI) programme.

"Cyber Heist" is now showing in cinemas and is rated NC16 for some violence.
