Have you heard of ice cream popiah?
The Taiwanese street snack is made by encasing ice cream in a savoury popiah skin topped with nuts.
Previously available for a limited time at Dessert Story in 2017, you can now get your fix at Haute and Cauld, albeit for a limited time.
Opened on Nov. 1, 2020, Haute and Cauld is located along Bedok Reservoir.
Ice cream popiah
Priced at S$6.99, it comprises three scoops of gelato of your choice, crushed nuts, Nutella sauce, and coriander wrapped in a popiah skin.
The anti-coriander squad need not worry as coriander is optional.
There is an additional charge of S$0.40 for each scoop of premium flavour gelato that you pick for your ice cream popiah.
However, if you pick premium flavours for all three scoops, the total surcharge will just be S$1 - a deal that is exclusive to the ice cream popiah.

This seasonable item is only available until May 19, 2021.
Other menu items
If you are still not convinced of the popiah idea, you may purchase gelato by the scoop (from S$3.80) or in a waffle set (from S$10.90).
There is a surcharge of S$1 for each scoop of premium flavour.
