Background to the case

Surajsrikan allegedly stabbed a 38-year-old man at Punggol Field Road on May 10 at about 11pm.

The victim, Tay Rui Hao, was found injured along Punggol Field, but succumbed to injuries and died in Sengkang General hospital subsequently.

Following a police investigation involving ground enquiries and review of CCTV footage, Surajsrikan was identified and arrested, five days after the incident.
