A 30-year-old man was found with severe injuries at Bishan Street 12, in the early morning of Sunday, May 10.
Police were alerted to the case at about 5:40am, and the man was conveyed conscious to the hospital, police said in a statement on May 11.
His injuries included lacerations on his head, and a fractured hand.
Police arrest two men
Within 10 hours of the report, police arrested two men, aged 25 and 30, for their suspected involvement.
They will be charged in court on May 12 for voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons with common intention, and both men face a maximum penalty of life imprisonment, as well as possible caning or fine.
The police said that they "do not tolerate such brazen acts of violence and blatant disregard of the law," and that they would "spare no effort to apprehend such offenders and deal with them severely in accordance with the law".
Other incidents on May 10
This comes after reports of two separate, unrelated incidents of violence on May 10.
A murder investigation is ongoing after police were called down to Punggol Field, after an injured man was found. He later died from his injuries.
A manhunt is also underway to arrest suspects who were involved in a fight that broke out in the early morning of May 10. Three persons have already been arrested.
