The Singapore Police Force (SPF) has arrested 3 persons in connection with a fight that broke out in the early morning on May 10, according to a statement from SPF on May 11.

SPF said that it was alerted to a case of rioting with dangerous weapon along Upper Cross Street at 3:30am on May 10.

A 19-year-old man was conveyed conscious to Singapore General Hospital, while three persons were arrested at the scene.

Operations are currently underway to arrest the others involved in the rioting case, and police investigations are ongoing.

Video of incident circulated online

Video footage of the incident, captured from a CCTV camera, was circulated online on May 10.

It showed a clash between two groups, one of which was armed with what appeared to be long knives.

One of the groups, which appeared to comprise four youngsters, had been waiting in a corridor.

The second group comprised six people, with at least two men who appeared to be armed with knives, and a woman with light-coloured hair who was not involved in the fight.

The four from the first group split up once the second group arrived, with two of them fleeing down a corridor not visible in the footage. They were not pursued.

The two men with knives, and another man from the group, landed blows on a man from the first group, just on the edge of the screen.
