Haunting.

Singapore's "circuit breaker" mode has kicked in as of Apr. 7.

Most workplaces have shut and people are now telecommuting, where possible. Singaporeans have also been advised to go out only to do "essential" things.

At lunchtime on the first day of the circuit breaker, the usually-bustling Raffles Place was far more subdued.

With only essential stores remaining open, malls in Singapore are also expected to be empty.

In a Facebook post by one Emmett Jaegerjaquez on Apr. 7, he shared a series of photos taken in the Bugis and Kampung Glam area showing what empty malls look like.

He said that what he saw could be likened to a scenes out of "Resident Evil" or "Silent Hill".
