Two upcoming K-Pop concerts have been postponed over concerns of the proliferation of the Wuhan virus.
However, no specific date has been announced for the postponed concerts.
The UNSEEN tour
Taeyeon debuted as a member of Girls' Generation and later went solo in 2015.
She was originally slated to perform at Singapore Indoor Stadium on Feb. 1, 2020.
The one-night show is part of "The UNSEEN" tour, which also has stops in Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan.
The postponement was announced by concert promoter ONE Production on Jan. 30.
The promoter added that the safety of artistes, staff, and patrons are their top priority, and that they will continue to take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
Tickets range from S$168 - S$288. At time of writing, the S$168 category was sold out.
Customers will receive a full refund.
The Dream Show
In a similar vein, NCT Dream's concert "The Dream Show", has also been postponed.
This was announced in the same post by ONE Production.
The South Korean boyband was slated to perform on Feb. 15 at The Star Theatre.
Concert tickets range from S$148 - S$268 across four categories. At time of writing, the three most expensive categories were sold out.
Customers will receive a full refund.
Fans complain as flight and hotels booked
In response to what appears to be an indefinite postponement of the K-Pop concerts, a number of fans have commented with their gripes.
One of the issues were the hotels and flights that had already been booked, as some were coming to Singapore just to attend the concert.
Others pointed out how difficult it was to get certain seats in the concert, and a refund would mean that they would have to scramble for it again should a new date be announced.
While the rest were disappointed by the news, they said that they understood the situation.
One concert-goer had a rather different concern, though.
Miriam Yeung's world tour postponed
A third concert that has been affected is Miriam Yeung's World Tour.
Yeung was scheduled to perform at Singapore Indoor Stadium on Feb. 8.
Promoter Live Nation explained that concert production equipment and machinery were supposed to be freight in from China and set up by the Chinese team.
However, due to the current freight and travel conditions in China, it is no longer possible to complete the staging.
Full refund will be made to customers.
