Local singers JJ Lin and Stefanie Sun have written a song to cheer on those affected by the Wuhan virus.

Moving song to cheer Wuhan people on

The song, I'll Stay with You is musically arranged and sung by Lin, while Sun wrote the lyrics for it.

The song lyrics is to comfort the people who are battling against the Wuhan virus, saying that they are not alone as the time of darkness will eventually end, and they don't have to be inhibited by fear and a sense of helplessness.

It also tells the unsung heroes who have worked silently that there are people out there who will definitely be contented and appreciative of their contributions.

The music video of the song ends with a message for the people in Hubei province: "With love, no city is locked down."

Not the first time for Lin

Both Lin and Sun shared the song on their Weibo pages on Jan. 28, tagging Chinese state media, People's Daily, in their posts.

This was not the first time that Lin has written a song to cheer the people in China on when they are in need.

Back in 2008, Lin wrote Love and Hope to comfort those who had lost their loved ones during the Wen Chuan earthquake in Sichuan.

Some 87,000 lives were lost and five million were left homeless through the devastating earthquake of 8.0 magnitude.

Sun also donated money

Separately in Sun's post, she revealed that Lin contacted her a few days ago, saying that he wished to write a song that's dedicated to the frontline workers who are battling against the Wuhan virus tirelessly.

Sun expressed appreciation for those who have been working hard on the Wuhan virus, saying, "Thank you and it's been hard on you guys."

Sun has also responded to prominent Chinese singer Han Hong's call for donation and contributed humbly as "Han Hong's old friend, Mdm Sun".

Sun is one of the many celebrities who have donated money to support Wuhan, ground zero of the novel coronavirus, which is running out of resources as a result of the virus outbreak.
