If you grew up watching Channel 8 dramas, Ivy Lee (李錦梅) is likely to be one of your favourite actresses back then, or one of the familiar faces you saw on-screen.

Lee was an actress from 1993 to 2009, first with the Television Corporation of Singapore (TCS) then with Mediacorp.

She was also the winner of the bi-annual Star Search in 1993 and the winner of Best Actress award thrice (2000, 2004, and 2006).

She left the local entertainment industry in 2009 to relocate her family to Hong Kong and has kept quite a low profile since.

Despite being away for almost a decade, Lee's heart is no doubt still with Singapore.

As you can see from her Instagram updates, she still keeps in touch with some Mediacorp artistes.

Reunion with Mediacorp ex-colleagues

Most recently, Lee has returned to Singapore and caught up with some of her ex-colleagues.

For those who had watched their dramas, you probably can't help but feel a sense of nostalgia.

Just look at these group photos featuring Lee and a few veteran actors, namely Chen Han Wei, Yvonne Lim, Chen Xiu Huan, Hong Hui Fang, and Huang Biren.

The gathering was hosted by Chen Xiu Huan. and included some of their family members.

Lee also visited the restaurant opened by Yao Wen Long and said that she hopes the group does not need to take another 10 years to meet again.

Separately, on his Instagram post, Chen Han Wei also wrote that he missed acting with this bunch and that the audience has missed them.

He also added that he hopes to be acting in the same drama with the rest of them again as good actors are hard to come by.
