Bubble tea continues to reach frontiers we never thought possible.

And now Yanmi Yoghurt, a bubble tea chain from China and Australia, has joined the fray.

The shop is currently in its soft launch state, and the official public launch will only take place on Oct. 26.

For their first Singapore outlet at Funan Mall, the brand has created a limited edition durian yoghurt drink, which will be available from Oct. 25.

Yanmi is known for their purple rice yogurt drink, touted as a healthier alternative to conventional bubble tea with pearls.

The purple rice reportedly has a chewy texture similar to pearls, and comes from the Mojiang Hani Autonomous County within Yunnan.

The yoghurt, on the other hand, is made with Australian milk.

Other offerings include Purple Rice Yogurt, Mello Oats Yogurt, Avocado Yogurt and Man-Mango Yogurt.
