Haidilao is one hotpot franchise that has many things that other franchises do not.
This includes providing snacks, massages and even manicures to tide patrons through the long wait for each table.
And it seems the brand is taking their service to a new level with their new outlet at Marina Square.
Futuristic technology, new dining experience
Future Haidilao customers at Marina Square will enjoy a unique dining experience with its futuristic, high-tech features, reported CNA.
Customers will reportedly have advanced food delivery robots waiting on them and serving food.
The restaurant will also install an intelligent kitchen management system.
This smart technology includes a machine that customises soup bases and caters to customers' diverse range of taste and specifications "with machine-like precision".
This also means that customers' individual preference for their soup base will be recorded and uploaded to the cloud, and can be retrieved during their next visit.
While waiting for their table, customers don't simply have to contend with talking, munching on snacks or massages.
They can now head to a 5G experience corner to enjoy interactive virtual and augmented reality online games to pass the time.
The e-gaming is supported by a trial 5G network as part of Haidilao's collaboration with local telco M1, reported Business Times.
"Smart" Haidilao already in Beijing
These "smart" features aren't completely new.
In October 2018, Haidilao opened its very first fully automated outlet in Beijing, completed with robot waiters and automated robotic arms in the kitchen that pick up different dishes for different orders.
The robots in Beijing look pretty cute, rolling around smoothly on wheels with animated "eyes".
The Beijing outlet appears to have aesthetic projections of scenery on the walls as well.
Hope the Marina Square outlet will sport a similar look.

Marina Square outlet is currently under construction and while no specific opening date has been announced, it is slated to open by the end of 2019.
Definitely something for Singaporeans to look forward to.
