Jamie Chua is a Singaporean socialite best known for her extensive collection of designer bags.

However, Chua appears to have recently picked up a new passion: gardening.

Love for gardening

In a Facebook video post on Sept. 1, Chua shared that she has been "cultivating (a) green thumb" and did some gardening recently.

Chua proceeded to do a quick tour around her backyard, as she finally had some free time at home that Sunday.

Chua said that seeing the fruits is very "therapeutic" for her and she is very happy.

While walking around, Chua can be seen saying "hi" to the fruits as she visited, and even called her plants "babies".

Here are some of the fruits & veggies in her garden

In the video, Chua gleefully introduced a variety of vegetables and fruits she had at home. This included cherry tomatoes, brinjals, pumpkins and other herb plants such as mint, rosemary, and basil.

The vegetables and fruits are used for cooking at home, with Chua using the rosemary for her steak and making fresh mint tea with the mint leaves.

Here's Chua tasting a cherry tomato that she plucked from the plant, extolling its freshness and juiciness.

Chua also introduced her pumpkin plant, displaying a small green pumpkin.

She playfully remarked that it does not like the sun, so it was "hiding" in the shade.

Favourite lemon trees

Among all her plants, Chua's favourites are her lemon trees.

She loves them so much, she said that she could not bear to pluck the lemons, because she apparently read that it takes eight months for lemons to grow.

So if she did pluck the lemons, the trees would be bare for a long time.

Chua also referred to the lemons as "lemon babies", "papa lemon", "mama lemon" and "grandma lemon".

During her visit, she observed that the lemon trees are still fruiting and explained that it was because they "love her house".
