People in the east of Singapore, do you like prata?
Because prata lovers, take note: SAFRA Tampines is organising a prata-eating competition on National Day, Friday, Aug. 9, 2019, from 3pm to 6pm.
S$10 entry fee
Here's the deal.
The prata-eating competition involves consuming 10 pratas in the fastest time possible.
To take part, a SAFRA member would have to pay S$5, while a non-SAFRA member will pay S$10 as entry fee.
The winner gets to win S$300 worth of cash and attractive prizes.
All participants will also get an exclusive event t-shirt.
The event is co-organised by Springleaf Prata, which sells awesome crispy prata.
Is it worth it?
Even if you are not in it to win, you can still make the most of it.
Skip breakfast for that day and eat two meals at one shot at the event.
Think of it this way: You can take your time to eat all 10 pratas at a leisurely pace, and it will cost S$1 for a piece -- assuming there is no maximum time limit.
A regular prata kosong from Springleaf Prata Place already costs S$1.30 a piece.
And you still get a free t-shirt.
Other showcase
There will also be a showcase by local competitive eater, Zermatt Neo.
He will be there to set the record for the most number of pratas eaten in 10 minutes.
Venue: SAFRA Tampines
Date: Friday, Aug. 9, 2019
Time: 3pm - 6pm
Fees: S$5 (SAFRA Member) | S$10 (Guest)
