Four personal mobility devices were caught on camera riding on the road in Woodlands like they didn't care if they got knocked down by real vehicles.
A one-minute video of the PMD riders antics was taken from the perspective of a vehicle tailgating the quartet of PMDs with seven people in total -- as three of the PMDs were accommodating pillion riders.
The video has been watched more than a quarter of a million times in three days since it was uploaded on July 28.
Honked incessantly
Such devices are not allowed on the roads.
They have a maximum speed limit of 10kmh on footpaths.
The vehicle tailgating the group of riders honked repeatedly and flashed the high beam in an attempt to warn them to get off the road, but at the risk of causing them to crash.
Responses
Responses to the video are varied.
Some questioned the vehicle driver's intention of repeatedly harassing the PMD users with incessant honking that might cos them to lose their balance on the road.
Others praised the vehicle for sounding repeated warnings.
The majority of the comments were still targeted at blaming the PMD riders for being the minority who cause problems for the rest of the rule-abiding PMD-riding community in Singapore.
