A Malaysian man has come forward claiming he was the one who appeared in viral video clips allegedly depicting him having sex with a male Malaysian minister.
The Malaysian man, Haziq Aziz, posted a video confession on his Facebook page on June 12.
Haziq describes himself as the Principal Private Secretary to the Deputy Minister for Primary Industries and Commodities, Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin.
Haziq named the minister in alleged video
With the caption "To my fellow Malaysians", Haziq claimed while speaking in Malay that he was one of the men in the video, and named the minister who was allegedly the other man in the video.
He also said that the minister was not qualified to be a leader.
Here's what he said in the 35-second video, translated:
"I, Haziq Aziz, (am) making a sworn confession that I am the individual with (the minister) in the video which went viral yesterday.
The video was taken without my permission on May 11 during the Sandakan by-election in (the minister's) room at Hotel Four Points.
I urge the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) to investigate (the minister) for corruption. He is not an individual who is qualified to be a leader."

Video clips were shared to journalists
The video clips were sent to multiple WhatsApp groups, which journalists and politicians were added into.
A member of UMNO's supreme council has lodged a police report over the clips to investigate the authenticity of the videos and the people who disseminated them.
On June 11, Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad was asked about these clips, but he replied he was unaware of their existence.
