Japan lost 1- 3 to Qatar during the Asian Cup finals, which was held at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The match was a monumental loss to the four-time Asian Cup champions.

Despite the huge blow, the Japanese football team continued to demonstrate their civic-mindedness, through their spotless dressing room.

Messages of gratitude

The dressing room was nearly spotless, save for heartwarming messages of gratitude on the whiteboard, where "thank you" was written in three languages -- Arabic, English and Japanese.

And while the teams look forward to getting stronger for their next match, someone slid in an unintentional pun.

If anything, their dressing room would indeed be anything but messi.
