A Malaysian girl and her mother's exchange in their car went viral recently, garnering nearly 3,000 shares in two weeks.

Here's what happened.

The girl had apparently asked for RM$15 (S$5) to get some colouring books.

The mother, upon noticing that the girl had no colouring books to show for the money, asked the daughter what she spent it on.

Here is the result of that exchange.

Here is the translation.

Mother: Since when did you... you... chicken chop, three plates, what? Ok, how many plates did you eat?

Girl: Three /mumbles mumbles/

Mother: Huh? How many plates?

Girl: Three plates, actually....

Mother: You actually ate three plates of chicken chop?

Girl: Ah, it's too tasty...

Mother: Oh, some more?

Girl: After that... I didn't have anymore money

Mother: Don't have because you ate chicken chop and ice cream? That's all?

Girl: Ah, that's all...

Mother: What chicken chop? Chicken chop or noodles?

Girl: Chicken chop I got two, noodles I got one.

Mother: That's all?

Mother: Ok can, ok can, ok can. I'll send this to your father

All for S$5.

Just for fun

The father of the child clarified that neither the mother or him were actually angry at their daughter.

They called her the entertainer of the family, and clarified that the video was in no way meant to bully her, but just to have a spot of fun.

Hopefully they at least treated her to some chicken chop to calm her down.
