SingPost has been making the news for all the wrong reasons lately.
Postmen have reportedly been leaving delivery notes, either after a few knocks without waiting for a response, or without even knocking the residents' doors at all.
Then there was the alleged attempt to trick a man who had paid S$7,000 for flyer distribution that didn't get pulled off properly.
When SingPost attempted to apologise for their errors and lackadaisical staff attitude, Singaporeans called them out for failing to make a proper apology.
For one politician, it appears to have become a matter of concern -- to warrant a personal visit.
Lee Bee Wah visits SingPost
On Jan. 24, MP for Nee Soon GRC Lee Bee Wah put up a Facebook post about her meeting with representatives from SingPost at its distribution centre in Woodlands.
Lee wrote that her meeting was in response to the recent news about the quality of SingPost's services.
She added that she also met with the men who worked in the distribution centre and concluded her post by revealing that SingPost had job openings for the position of postmen, which she had included in her photos.
Here is her post:

What does being a postman require?
With regards to the job openings, two different positions were featured -- postman and neighbourhood postman.
Both positions require the applicant to deliver items properly.
In the case of a postman, however, he is also responsible for managing his assigned vehicle, sorting the mail, along with loading and unloading items onto vehicles, among other duties.
Whereas for the position of a neighbourhood postman, it appears to be a more flexible position as an applicant will be able to use his own vehicle, including a bicycle, have the option of working part-time, and work near his or her own home.
In terms of responsibilities, an applicant is required to ensure that mail transit rooms and cabinets used by SingPost are well-maintained, along with preparing mail items for delivery and making sure the equipment and vehicles used are in good condition.
It remains to be seen if this will be able to help improve the company's quality of services.
