Terrible.

When news that Singaporean actor Aloysius Pang had passed away broke on the night of Jan. 23, the media industry mourned his loss.

But perhaps the most heartbreaking posts came from local actress Jayley Woo, who was in an undisclosed, long-term relationship with Pang, although the exact number of years they were together was unspecified.

Sadly, even in her grief, it seems Jayley was not given space.

In a series of Instagram Stories commemorating their relationship, Jayley added that she will not be entertaining any queries from the media.

Here's a translation of the Chinese text:

"Dear media friends,

I will not be answering any one of your questions.

Please let me have this last memory of myself and him. Please understand.

All I can say is, we were only planning to go public after getting married.

That's all. Thank you everyone."

In another Story, Jayley pleaded for unnamed person(s) to stop calling her:

"Stop calling me. Please.

I am physically in NZ.

My heart is not with me.

I should try to sleep. Waiting for you to send me a message in my dreams."

In another Story by Jayley's twin sister Hayley Woo, a screenshot revealing WhatsApp messages from someone referring to themselves as a journalist was shared.

Besides the inappropriate request for comment, the alleged journalist even tried to emotionally blackmail his/her recipient by typing, "Aloy won't do that to me".

The Chinese words on the screenshot read "No. Words."

No words indeed.

Update at 3.41pm: In the comments section of this article, a reader has shared more about the sequence of events from his memory.
