Museums, with their cornucopia of valuable artefacts, are awesome.
It makes sense that people will want to visit -- even if they have to buy tickets to do so.
Kitty Kulture
Well two stubborn, furry connoisseurs of culture have been trying, unsuccessfully, to get into the Hiroshima Onomichi City Museum of Art for two years now.
According to Soranews 24, it all started when the museum had a cat exhibit all the way back in June, 2016.
A furry visitor tried making his way into the museum.

And was promptly turned away.

A year later, the same cat came back, and once again it was turned away by the same security guard.
展覧会HPはコチラ:https://t.co/LJMNYF9Vog pic.twitter.com/11m7mWVr3I

Foiled.
2018 still trying
This year, the same museum enthusiast continues to persist with his usual shenanigans.

Only this time, there seems to be another museum enthusiast.
Here it is.
Here is what appears to be the same security guard keeping the sanctity of the museum intact while still giving out well-deserved kitty scratches.

Ken and Go
According to official tweets from the museum and a Japanese Twitter user, the black cat has since been named Ken, or Ken-chan.
His ginger counterpart is called Gosaku, but often affectionately referred to as Go-chan.
Hello, Onomichi city art museum ( @bijutsu1 ) tweet their picture everyday. And that immortal cat's name is "Ken". We call him "Ken-chan". Near this museum often some cats take a walk 😻😻 pic.twitter.com/EtMtKcvkgF

Incidentally, the red tabby's name is "Gosaku". We call him(maybe him) "Go-chan"!!
And Onomichi is a beautiful port city. there're some history temple or shrine. If you have a chance, please visit Onomichi💕 pic.twitter.com/tEBIR5C8Oz
With their frequent visits to the museum's entrance, they've since become good friends of the museum and its security guard.
And the best thing is, the two kitty's futile attempts have been forever immortalised in merch.

No word on when they will get to visit the museum though.
