The hero we all need.

Sometimes, unforeseen traffic incidents occur and everyone gets held up.

Not this time, however.

Traffic lights faulty

According to a Facebook post by LiTing TaRa on Oct. 11, she wrote that she was on the way to fetch her husband when the traffic lights at the cross junction between MacPerson and Paya Lebar road were faulty.

She had to make a right turn so she "tried to inch forward", but unfortunately for her, vehicles going straight had the right of way.

LiTing wrote that she "was so desperate to reach [her] destination as [she] had a crying infant in the car."

Man in blue to the rescue

Thankfully, she realised that there was "a man in blue who volunteered to guide the road users".

Grateful to the man

LiTing expressed her gratitude to the man in her post, thanking him "from the bottom [of her] heart".

She also said that she "was pretty sure he was hungry and tired, just like all other rivers and pedestrians." However, he "sacrificed his own time" just so other road users could be on their way to their destination.

This is her Facebook post:
