Update, Sept. 14, 12.15am: Arrested Maserati driver allegedly NUS geography professor

The Maserati driver caught on camera mounting a road divider curb and driving against traffic just to overtake a lorry has been arrested by the Singapore Police.

The police confirmed to Stomp a 49-year-old man has been arrested for dangerous driving after a report was lodged.

Investigations are ongoing.

Video of dangerous driving

The incident shown in the video uploaded and shared widely on social media occurred along Lorong Chuan near the Singapore Australian School at about 1.10pm on Sept. 7.

After pulling off the dangerous stunt, the Maserati driver opened the door just as the video cut off.

He had by then swerved back into the path of the lorry and stopped in front of it, while turning on hazard lights.

Previous incidents

It appears this same Maserati has been involved in a few incidents on Singapore's roads that have been caught on camera.

In a response to the above video, one Derrick Love Ginnie Gan shared footage that showed the same Maserati tailgating a car, before overtaking on a merging lane.

It is not known where did this particular incident take place.

A third incident has come to light involving the same driver, which apparently happened two years ago.

The incident was caught on camera and uploaded to Beh Chia Lor - Singapore Road Facebook page as well.

The video was shot via a biker's helmet camera.

It showed the Maserati honking at the biker from behind before overtaking him and cutting close into the motorcyle's lane.
