Sometimes, boys just want to make their girlfriends "laugh and dance like a happy cockroach":

But one Eugene Ng had a different ambition: he worked long and hard so he could buy a Louis Vuitton bag for his girlfriend:

"A man should give everything"

Ng then shared the story on Instagram and Facebook, where he explains that a man should give his partner "everything".

And for Ng, that consists of love, money, fame, and time.

This principle is something he mentions repeatedly throughout his post.

He is also quick to emphasise that his girlfriend can afford it, but he wishes to pamper her because she stuck by him when he had nothing.

Ng also notes the transformation that they underwent for the better:

"A princess life"

In a series of Instagram stories that was shared to the same Facebook post, Ng reveals the entire journey he undertook to buy the bag.

It started when Ng's girlfriend said her back hurt from carrying a big, heavy bag.

When Ng told her to carry a smaller one, she said she did not like small bags.

But Ng knew her weakness: Louis Vuitton.

So they went shopping for one the very next day:

First stop, Gucci:

But there was nothing there.

Second stop, LV:

From here on, Ng's girlfriend narrowed it down to a few bags:

Ng used to berate himself for being useless, as he was always unable to buy her a branded bag:

He wanted to prove her wrong this time:

He then reveals that he does not come from a well-to-do family, whereas it was the opposite for her.

However, Ng wanted to make sure that she wouldn't "suffer" with him:

For her to have a princess life, Ng believes, he must first become a prince himself:

Besides that, he also believes that it is a man's duty to pamper his girl as much as possible.

And on that day, Ng was proud that he managed to reduce the weight of her bag, thus solving her back problem:

His next goal is to get one for his mum (he had already bought her a car and a house, apparently):

He goes on to define a man:

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
