Raised prospects of double standards.

Despite being stopped at Changi Airport by the authorities and questioned for two hours, the fake Kim Jong-un was eventually let into Singapore.

And in a bid to get some of the misgivings off his chest following this experience, the fake Kim, whose other name is Howard X, spoke to Hong Kong Free Press.

Fake Kim revealed that his sidekick, the fake Donald Trump, was let into Singapore without questions -- raising the prospects of double standards.

The Trump impersonator, named Dennis Alan, is scheduled to appear with fake Kim at Bugis Junction on Saturday, June 9 from 2pm to 4pm.

Howard also told HKFP:

“I’m here to promote Singapore, so I guess it’s better to let me in then not let me in. Because otherwise the headline would be ‘Kim Jong-un impersonator gets deported from Singapore’ which is a headline that they wouldn’t want and I do know that. Although Singapore is a dictatorship, they do care about their international image and they do rely on tourism.”

“Now I’m very tempted to go to all those places that I’ve been told not to go, because I did ask them ‘is it illegal for me to go’ and they said ‘no, we’re just advising you don’t go.”

Fake Kim has since taken to Facebook to talk about his two-hour detention.

Some interesting points to note is that Howard X is a believer of free speech and was part of Occupy movement in Hong Kong several years ago.

With heightened security around Shangri-La and on Sentosa, this wouldn't be the last time both fake leaders' have a brush with the Singapore authorities.

This is fake Kim's Facebook post in full:

I was detained this morning for two hours at Singapore immigration.

I have been through Singapore many times and I have never ever been detained. When I arrived at 3:30 in the morning in Singapore there was an officer waiting for me and asked me if I was the Kim Jong Un impersonator in which I said I was a music producer (which is true). he then took me into room and the detained and questioned me for two hours.

They asked be bunch of mundane questions like where I live, what I do for a living, in which I replied that I was music producer. They obviously knew what I did and they were just asking the questions for the sake of asking them. One question that stuck out was they asked me if I was involved in any political protest or riot anywhere in the world. They then asked me specifically if I was involved with occupy central that happened a couple years ago in Hong Kong. I told him yes and they asked why I said I it’s because I believe in the freedom of speech and this is something to be defended.

They search my bags and then told me that this is a very sensitive time to be in Singapore and that I should stay away from the Sentosa Island as well as the Shangri-La hotel in town.

I guess after analysing the situation they decided it was better for me to come into the country than actually deporting me.

After all if they had deported me the headline in the newspaper today all around the world would have been “Kim Jong un gets deported from Singapore”, which I’m sure is something that the Singaporean government would not want in the papers.

Anyway I am here now so be prepared for some fun during this historical moment in the finest dictatorship in the world.
