Earlier this month, an audio clip allegedly between entertainment lawyer Samuel Seow and staff members made the rounds on WhatsApp.

Following that, it was reported that police reports have been made against Seow for alleged physical and verbal assault against two former employees, one of whom is his niece.

He had at a press conference subsequently apologised for slapping his niece.

Seow runs the artiste management firm Beam Artistes.

Here's the truncated audio clip:

Case withdrawn

Beam Artiste has shared in a press release on May 25 that the police case made by a 19-year-old employee for alleged physical and verbal abuse by Seow has been withdrawn.

It also shared that another police report lodged against the same employee for alleged improper behaviour and wrongful appropriation of company property was withdrawn too.

The press release did not say whether the 19-year-old employee was Seow's niece.

Instigated by "disgruntled ex-lawyers"

Seow said that the employee had been "instigated to carry out her actions by disgruntled ex-lawyers of Samuel Seow Law Corporation".

He further added that "this entire incident has been deeply regrettable and caused unnecessary pain and distress to all parties".

He said he will "ensure that justice is meted out".

19-year-old resolved issues directly with Seow

The press release also included a signed statement addressed to the Law Society of Singapore by the 19-year-old.

We reproduce it in full:

I refer to the Complaint I had filed with you on 16 May 2018 relating to alleged misconduct of Mr. Samuel Seow Theng Beng.

I am pleased to inform you that I have since resolved my issues with Mr. Seow directly and wish to hereby withdraw my complaint and withdraw unreservedly any allegations against him. I further hereby release and discharge Mr Seow, from any and all liability, demands, claims, proceedings, costs, expenses or causes of action whatsoever (known or unknown in law or equity or otherwise and whether by way of indemnity or otherwise) howsoever arising out of and/or in connection with my complaints.

I am 19 years old and my actions were misguided, led by several disgruntled ex-lawyers of Samuel Seow Law Corporation. I shall work with Mr Seow to ensure that justice is done.

Mr. Seow remains an important mentor and benefactor for me in my life and I regret any inconvenience this Complaint and the accompanying press statesments had cause him.
